A group of graduate students and professors from UC Riverside have created an efficient way to detect spam and malware posts on Facebook users’s walls. Everyone knows these spam posts that are supposedly leading you to intriguing link and then boom! Your Facebook wall shows an embarrassing post and all you can do is delete it and hope not too many of your friends received anymore spam in the process. Well in a recent four month experiment conduced by the group at UC Riverside, they have successfully created an application to detect these spammers. Its totally free. Its called MyPageKeeper and they have successfully flagged 97 percent of social malware during the course of their experiment. And it was only incorrect at flagging o.oo5 percent of the time. With this free app you can be assured that you won’t have to deal embarrassing posts on your wall.
