The new Club 3D Radeon 7990 has just been unveiled, and it looks amazing! As a keen gamer and custom PC builder I know that looks are not everything (in fact they mean next to nothing) with regards to graphics cards but the Radeon 7990 does look spectacular. But looks aside it has a dual GPU and the power of a dual Radeon 7970, as well as the grand total of just over 6GB of memory, stick two of these bad boys in your machine and you are in for a Quad Crossfire configuration!

You may think such a high powered card would burn itself out within minutes of installing but it comes with 10 high performance heat pipes as well as 3 fans to keep it cool, running at 65 degrees when the card is under high load and only 45 degrees when the card is idle.

When testing the Club 3D Radeon 7990 on battlefield 3 (Ultra Settings) it averages 112 Frames Per Second, this is a huge increase on the Radeon 7970’s 67 FPS  and is a serious advantage for those looking for a competitive edge when playing. I would not mind owning one (or even two) of these myself and if I get the chance I will definitely be upgrading in the near future.

It’s not officially made by AMD. If you remember correctly…Powercolor also made their own 7990. Third parties create them. This is the second one that’s been created.
