I recently got an Xbox wired controller and have been playing games off my PC with it, so lately I have wanted to play some racing games. I was on the internet looking up racing games and found this game and it said free to play. I was pretty surprised because Need For Speed games have always been a lot of fun since I got my first Need For Speed game back in the day. When I first found out about this game when I was searching for racing games to play with my Xbox 360 wired controller I found Need For Speed World online and that it was free to play. So I installed it and could not create an account for a day because there servers were down for maintenance. But once I created an account and joined into the world I loved it.

You start off just like in any racing game with so much money and a few cars to choose from. I chose a Mazda because it was the fastest overall car I could choose from. After that you join into an online world with other people driving around everywhere. You can click to join single player races and earn cash right away. It’s best to play the single player a little bit so you can get use to the controls of the game before you go online. Because the way the people drive in online races is ridiculous. But the first few races are really easy and they introduce you to what you get at the end of the race. At the end of each race you earn reputation points. Or rep points as they call it. That allows you to unlock more cars performance parts and even vinyl’s to put onto your car to separate it from the rest of them. Because believe me there are a lot of red Mazda’s in the game. Also at the end of each race you earn a little bit of cash. And there is also an advanced option they give you each time to earn more money or more reps. Online but you have to be one of their premium members. And that basically means give them money for more stuff. But it’s a free game so of course it’s going to be in the game, somehow they got to make money off of what they are supporting. And after all that you get to select a card. Now you have five different cards to choose from and they all have a different perk you can say that will help you in your next races. Like the most common one I keep running into is nitrous although I can’t complain because it really comes in handy on those online races. There is other perks such as slingshot and also a traffic magnet. Now what the traffic magnet does is it sets up an opponent with a magnet around his car that pulls any other cars towards him. It really sucks because you crash a lot and then everyone passes you. Basically ending that race for you.

Now once you have played a few of the single player races you should upgrade your car by going to your safe house. Your safe house is where all of your cars and information is stored at. This is also where you upgrade and customize your vehicles. You can only get certain parts in the beginning because your level is not high enough. So you have to race more to get more reputation so then you can buy better cars and parts. The game also supports a microphone so you can voice chat with people online. It helps because you don’t want to be sitting there typing while you’re trying to drive. The game is a lot of fun, but the only real problem  is that it takes a long time until you are a high enough level to buy the cars you want so you are kind of stuck with your first car for quite a while. They allow you to customize your car pretty well, also after a while of racing you level up and unlock new vinyls that completely change the way your car looks from other players out there in the Need For Speed World. You just have to be a little creative with your design. With the constant need to find boost in the cards you get at the end of each race and wanting to level up so you can get new cars and customization items and even is able to purchase parts that upgrade the cars that you currently have. It’s a lot of fun and it gives you challenges to work towards.

They do take quite a while but they have a boost upgrade. It is basically a way for them to make some money on the game because it’s free so you purchase these packages they have. There are different price ranges for different amounts of cash in the game. They also have it so you can purchase it and it will be right on your phone bill. Probably for kids that play the game and want a way of purchasing the game cash without a credit or debit card. But if you do that you can pretty much get whatever you want in the game right away without playing the game for anything. It does get a little annoying when you’re in a Mazda and you’re racing a Porsche but I don’t really want to spend any money on game cash either.
