Hey there, the names Jesus, yes really, and I am here to bring you a review of the Rosewill RNX-N150UBE 802.11 b/g/n wireless adapter. Now I’m a fairly new reviewer and my technical background is…well, lets just say average, though I do know most of the basics…you still use AOL for internet right?…just kidding of course.
All jokes aside, the Rosewill wireless adapter comes with a USB 150Mbps wireless adapter and a cap, an antenna you have to screw on yourself, which wasn’t too much of a workout. Also included was a quick installation paper guide and a driver installation CD.
Setting everything up was just as easy as selecting a language after you click on ‘driver install’ when you pop in the CD then a ‘next’ and finally to ‘install’. It will then prompt you to restart your computer which also has an option not to, if you don’t have minutes to spare. Now as long as you know a networks password, unless it has no security, you should be able to plug this little black beauty straight into your computer as you restart and it should already be catching network signals in no time. Now, with a simple click on the ‘R’ icon, you will be able to configure one or more networks to your profile so it connects to those networks automatically. If you get lost on what to do, the paper guide that comes in the box has pretty simple instructions to get you right back on track. It also lets you view general information such as SSID, signal strength, link quality and speed.
After I was able to set up and configure the device, and the router being about a room away, browsing the internet and streaming videos worked flawlessly. I even tried streaming two movies at once on two different sites. Needless to say, they both played with virtually no loading time!, of course that is with cable internet and me being the only one using it up at the moment. But depending on your internet provider this device will pretty much give you no problems, at least, none on my end yet. Even downloading gigs of games at the same time couldn’t disrupt my lag free movie stream. And playing online was also a breeze. No skips or lagging, just perfect, uninterrupted first person shooter madness!
Easy to install and setup, the Rosewill WiFi adapter should definitely be your device choice for wireless capabilities.
