Well, when is Scamscum going to spit out a 64 bit smartphone? 6 months after Google announces a 64 Bit OS, which they haven’t released yet and I don’t know if that’s going to happen for another year. I don’t know if KitKat is 64 bit, Google hasn’t said anything about it. So, in the mean time, you might have to wait another year to year and a half for a 64 bit Android phone and then even longer for decent 64 bit apps to filter out. Oh well, I see 64 bit as a HUGE game changer for Apple and it’s going to help them sell more phones and take away business from Android. I think Apple’s biggest problem is getting a larger screen model out, but they are working on it, so I anticipate one in HOPEFULLY 6 months from now. Then its game on. That’s what I’m waiting for. But a lot of people still prefer the 4inch screen. 4inch screens actually sell more units than the larger screen models if you look at actual unit sales of all screen sizes.

The A7 is the first 64 processor. If you don’t understand the implications of that coming out this early, then you just don’t get it. Once Apple starts to get a larger screen model, they are going to get a pile of unhappy Android users switching because it’s going to take a LONG time for Android to go 64 bit. If Google doesn’t release 64 bit Nexus phone this year, then the Android users are going to have to wait another year or more.

Yeah, there are different grades of plastic and they aren’t doing the plastic phones on their flag ship models are they? NO.

You don’t listen, they say the Best iPhone, not the best phone, they pretty much stay away from that sort of BS, the only time they might say something along those lines is when they have something new that’s a first, like 64 Bit processors in a smartphone, which they have now.

Market share is misleading. Apple doesn’t go after the $200 and less market. That’s like chastising Mercedes Benz for not making a $20K or less car. To make really cheap phones, they have to still have a certain profit margin and they have to sell a LOT more phones to make up the difference.

Apple does sell more phones each year, but they have to maintain profit margins instead of the 10% or less that the others are doing. Apple would go right down the drain if they sold a $200 or less phone unlocked. Their profits would go to crap. But, maybe you don’t understand the downfall of sacraficing profit margins for market share. Market share is just a silly way of keeping score, but a REAL analyst won’t put too much stock in that, only if sales were dropping as well. But, for those idiots that still look at market share, Apple is opening up Docomo and China Mobile, which means LOTS MORE SALES in new markets. Something that Apple still has room for growth. Apple doesn’t sell through as many carriers in as many countries as Android, so they still have room for market share growth, sales growth.

It will do well, but the game changer is 64 bit on the 5s. That’s going to premeate into the iPad lineup shortly and then we’ll see a rash of new games and other higher end s/w that’s just going to accelerate the iOS platform for pros, gamers, and more serious minded people. I’m sure the larger screen iPhone is around the corner and HOPEFULLY we won’t have to wait another year. I’m hoping within about 6 months we’ll se a larger screen model.

That’s what they’ve always done, expect basically the same pricing as the iPhone 5 was for the 5s and the 4s pricing for the 5c. But it won’t happen until probably late this year or early next year. It’s all depends on demand and yield.

I was never even remotely interested in getting an iPhone, or any Smartphone, but this is hard to resist. Sexy. amazing innovations (I know Apple didn’t invent this stuff, but it seems like every time, Apple is the only one that can successfully and intelligently implement new tech without making it gimmicky, and is the first to do so. iPod, iPhone, tablets (iPad), actual ultrabooks, touchpads, touch anything, fingerprint scanners, no disk drives, App store etc. etc. etc. etc. ) Anyways, aside from iO7 and a better camera etc. normal upgrades, being able to purchase and rent things and handle security options with your fingerprint would be sooo nice. I hope every Apple product gets this soon, and I’m sure they will (Macbooks).

Don’t people see that this phone is for a market geared towards other countries; ex China! This is a huge step for Apple to expand its market wing. Not that I’m favoring Apple over everything, I just see it as progress from Apple.

What would really excite the audience is a IPhone that’s like the Samsung S4 Active. Apple wants to include these active health apps but no durable phone like I mentioned above. It’s a shame really.

10 feelings of mine:

1. Angry – Apple arrogance
2. Disappointed – innovation (or lack thereof)
3. Bemused – Why iPhone C?
4. Cheated – Apple 32g 5C is going to cost $988 in Singapore ! Seriously? Thought the ‘C’ stood for Cheap?
5. Lethargic – Apple fatigue (for quite some time now actually)
6. Comical – Apple yet again using the same lines “the best phone, the most beautiful phone ever made”…come on at least innovate in the marketing department guys !
7. Miffed – at being brazenly ridiculed and intellectually insulted. Don’t want to be taken for a ride..again!
8. Flabbergasted – Apple once was a strong critic and vigorously ridiculed ‘Cheap, Plastic phones’. Look who is talking/doing now !
9. Not surprised – Western media still glorifying the ‘new’ products
10. Sceptical – about Apple’s chance to stem the decline in market share as well as profitability
