Ever since the existence of phones, making devices thinner and lighter has been a huge priority in the race of mobile technology. Apple has been one of the main companies known for this but it seems LG just took a huge step forward.

LG has recently unveiled the worlds thinnest smartphone display which measures at an insane 2.2mm thin. The display sizes up at 5.2-inches and is easily capable of displaying 1080p content as perfect as the smartphones on the market today.

The Korean electronics company refers to this technology as the “Advanced One-Glass Solution” which operates through a Dual Flexible Circuit insert between the LCD panel and touchscreen film. The single circuit technology is capable of reducing lines for up to 30 percent.
