Twitter has finally announced Vine, its famous video-taking app for Android users. Previously the application was only available exclusively to iOS users since its release. Anybody with an Android phone that is running Android 4.0 or higher will be able to download the app.

The Android release is not exactly a completely up-to-date version of the 6 second video app and is stated on the Vine website to be scheduled for future updates and new features.

Some of these features include push notifications , mentions, hashtags, tagging, and a front facing camera! The Android however does carry a new feature as it supports zooming on both the Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

With such a tremendous amount of users that interact with Vine everyday, I’m interested to see what is to come of the 30 million user plus social networking video app that only had its feet in iOS. Of course there’s going to be angry, hipster, iOS users that are going to be mad at the fact that not everyone has an iPhone and Android users still exist and use applications but what do you guys think about this? Any Android users been waiting for this?
