The Wall Street Journal reports that Google is taking another stab into winning the tabletop war in your living room. After the tremendous fail and somewhat no-show Nexus Q, Google is reportedly making an Android powered gaming console.
Watch out Ouya.
With the mix emotions of the Ouya, Google has a good chance of being a competitor in this arena seeing that there is much room to build on. With the Xbox One and PS4 priced at over 400 dollars, cheap gaming consoles have a lot of potential. But gaming isn’t all Google is trying to dip it’s toes into.
Remember the Nexus Q? Don’t worry, nobody does. Well, Wallstreet Journal also reported that the will continue and build on the Nexus Q project. Hopefully Google has learned from their mistakes as any company should and capitalize on it tenfold. Personally, I’m excited to see an Apple TV killer come onto the Google Playstore, Apple needs to get a kick in the butt once in a while.
Finally, it is rumored that Google is engineering a new wristwatch. By now you’re probably thinking Google wants to get into everything don’t ya’? Well at least their doing something right? You can expect one of these three products to be released this fall and I’m hoping it’s the Nexus Q because the gaming console will get killed if it releases the same time as the Xbox One and the PS4. Any parent to buy their kid a Ouya instead of that PS4 they wanted for christmas will be forever hated. But what do you guys think about all these things that Google is doing? Do you personally like Google?
