As of this morning there have been a number of reports claiming and confirming that on September 10th, Apple will host a media event announcing and showing the iPhone 5S and possibly the rumored lower cost iPhone 5C model.
AllThingsD originally reported this over the weekend, and it was confirmed this morning with a single word of “Yep.” by The Loops’s Jim Darlymple who thanks to his connections, has a history of consistently and accurately confirming and denying rumored Apple announcements.
There has been no leaks or evidence showing that Apple will make many changes physically to the iPhone even though the 4 inch form factor is a little small by today’s evergrowing 5 inch+ 1080p smartphone market, so it’ll be interesting to see what Apple will offer to step their game up.
What are your thoughts on the upcoming event? Do you think the iPhone 5C budget phone is a good idea or a flop on Apple’s part? Definitely let us know in the comment section below and stay peeled to the site for coverage as it happens.
