This past week Sony was present at Gamescon in Germany, to make a number of new announcements regarding its plans for the next year. Many of these were new videos and more details regarding game’s we’ve already heard about since their original press release in February, as well as E3 this past June.

By and large, the largest announcement to come from this event however was the one huge detail we’ve all been waiting to hear: The PS4 will be available for sale November 15th in the U.S.A, and November 29th in Europe, with hopes of getting a full release in 32 countries by the end of this year. Along with this we also got confirmation that the 120 GB ps3 model for $199.99 will be arriving in the U.S. Later this year.

For those of you that have missed all the other information we’ve learned on the PS4 these past months, it will be releasing at an MSRP of $399.99 (A whole $100 below the Xbox One), with specs including an 8 core 64-bit x86 Jaguar AMD Processor, 8 Gigs of Ram, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 3.0, and an initial hard drive size of 500 GB.

Now with the release date finally confirmed, all we have to wait for now is the actual release this November, and really get some hands on experience with what it will be able to do. As we draw closer to the holiday season, have you ordered a PS4 or Xbox One yet? or are you PC all the way? Let us know in the comments below!

Hello to everyone at Tech of Tomorrow. I am very interested to see what this new generation of game consoles will bring to the table, however, I will not be purchasing either one of them. I am excited to see all of the new features and hardware and how they perform but that’s about as far as it goes for me. I will take my PC over a console any day. On PC It just seems like the graphics are always better, the loading times are faster, and the framerate is more stable especially with online play. To me the overall quality of gaming on a PC is just much richer than consoles. Plus, I really like my Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB Windforce Edition lol. Maybe I should buy a second one?

One question, is the hard drive swappable? Is it possible to put an SSD in? lol

Sure is. Pretty soon I will get a 256GB Samsung Pro for my OS and some games I play online but I’m keeping my 2TB Seagate Constellation as my secondary as I am quite happy with it. :) Oh, you were talking about the Playstation lol.

I’m not really asking you about your computer lol. I’m asking about PS4

I knew that I was just testing you. smh. :p

Yes, As with the PS3, the hard drive in the PS4 is swappable. No limits.

Imma wait to see what games they come out with before investing right now. I want an xbone for killer instinct. Sony needs to come out with a game that’s going to blow my mind in order to change my mind had the PS3 last gen. Otherwise why invest when my pc can play all the rest of the games that are that are coming out.
