Everyone who is into gaming, be it console or PC knows that new Sony PlayStation 4 is soon to be released and that it is geared to be one hell of a gaming solution. With all this hype floating around, a few new interesting things have also surfaced to make the eager, well, more eager. Mark Cerny, Sony’s lead system architect has said that the PS4 will have the strongest launch lineup in console history, which has been claimed by many in the past, but most likely will be a factor in Sony’s new launch plans as the real deal clincher. The accessibility improvements on the PS4 make development as easy as it is for PC and this will make porting of games much easier from the PC to the PS4.
Although, Sony obviously will not let the whole cat out of the bag, Cerny claims that there will be more titles available right at launch for the PS4, which will mark the strongest release on PS4 hardware to date. Another thing that Sony is relying upon is the extreme PC-like architecture that should boost performance levels to those never seen in the console environment. It seems the whole mood surrounding the launch is ease of game adaptation, multi-titles and support for the new platform. IF Sony can actually pull off everything they make claim to I see them emerging as thee serious console to consider. The porting of games going either direction, be it from PC to console or console to PC has always been a major problem and many games suffer as a result, and if Sony can fix just that one aspect of the industry that would be a nice place to start.
Are you a Sony fan, and if so are you in high anticipation of the new Sony PlayStation 4? Also do you think Sony can achieve all that they claim they can do, or do you think it is just more hype surrounding a new product line? I think that If Sony just keeps a few promises things will go very well for them, as the console market needs a breath of fresh air and this just could be it.
