Xbox 720? Nope. Xbox Infinity? Nope. Xbox One is the official name of Microsoft’s next-gen console which the company just unveiled minutes ago at the Xbox Reveal event.

The event isn’t over yet but so far we know the Xbox One will support BluRay, feature 500GB of storage, 8 GB RAM, WiFi Direct and 64-bit architecture.

The New Kinect sensor that was announced will also come bundled with every Xbox One, which is definitely a plus.

No mention on pricing at this point, although Amazon already has a pre-order page setup where you can sign up via email to be notified when pricing is available. Hopefully we’ll know more at E3, where we’ll also see the PS4 unveiled as well.

Some positive news, is the Xbox One controller looks like a solid upgrade but doesn’t defer from the original design all too much. From the image below you can see the controller still retains a nice solid design with slight tweaks.

If you missed the event, we have an entire recap covering the console announcement, specs, games and everything you need to know which can be read here.

I read on a comment months ago someone said they heard it was going to be Xbox one, on a you tube comment.I think the should have called it “all in one”instead. A little confusing for people who don’t know about the generation that will be buying for for another person for the holidays. Apu’s got along way to go, but still good for basic HD movie playback.

it’s supposed to be like a 8 core vishera chip way under clocked and a hd7790 on the same die. Let me rephrase APU’s have a long way till they can compete with discrete cards that was the actual point I was really trying to make.
