AMD FX-8120 or A10-5800K for Playstation 4 Build?

Since we introduced The Playstation 4 Build Project a little over a week ago, we’ve been overwhelmed with the feedback and suggestions provided by you our viewers and readers. We initially wanted to center the build around an 8-core AMD CPU since the upcoming Playstation 4 is set to feature 8 cores. The problem is though, the Playstation 4 architecture is actually based off a custom lower clocked jaguar based AMD APU, so we’ve received a ton of feedback to opt for an A10-5800K APU because even though it’s only 4 cores, the higher clock speed and money saved to put towards a better GPU should result in better performance than the Playstation 4 regardless of it’s 8 cores. So should we go APU? or go full on 8-Core with the FX-8120? We’ve created a poll below so you can help us decide, please take a second to vote and help us move this project forward!

*Update* – We received a ton of requests from our YouTube comments to opt for an FX-8320 (Piledriver) over the FX-8120 (Bulldozer) because of the small cost difference and performance increase. Most feel the 8120 would still be leaps and bounds ahead of the Playstation 4 processor but it looks like you guys want to go all out, so we’ve added a late edition into the poll for those who want to see Piledriver!
