If you are an AMD card owner and fan of their products they are once again releasing a new driver set geared for better performance. The Catalyst series gets a new BETA driver now bring the number up to 13.10, which is starting to sound like star date from Star Trek.

Following on the footsteps of lasts months 13.8 release 13.10 is just a continuation of improvements and is indeed much of the same as the 13.8 driver branch (branch 13.200), which given the way AMD names things mean we will probably see a WHQL driver this coming October instead of the originally intended date of August hence the 13.8 nomenclature.

The changes go like this: Crossfire profiles for many new game releases, including Total War: Rome II, Saints Row 4, and Metro: Last Light, these latest drivers also include Crossfire frame pacing improvements for a number of games. AMD lists Tomb Raider, Metro, and World of Warcraft among the titles getting frame-pacing improvements. If you are an AMD fan looking to get the most from your system experimenting with BETA drivers can add that little bit of performance boost sometimes needed in your favorite game title. Getting rid of any micro stuttering would be awesome, as those who run CrossFire configurations would appreciate that one hell of a lot.

If you are looking to download these drivers they can be found on AMD’s support website. Thanks for reading, are you looking forward to these new driver updates? If so tell us why in the comments section below.

This BETA driver is only for AMD GPU’s

What are you referring to? That APUs don’t get the drivers? If that’s what you believe, it is wrong. I found the beta drivers for their APUs.

I hope they release some full drivers soon, been nothing but beta releases since 13.4!

I agree with you. The unreliable drivers are the first reason why I still can’t decide wether to get amd or nvidia

      • Cody McCormick

Unreliable? my drivers have always worked quite well from AMD.

        • BDK

Ditto. Totally different story with nvidia where half the drivers would screw something up. I’m sticking with AMD as long as they release awesome drivers that actually work.

  • Moaz

Well, so when do they release final drivers????

  • Alex Lee

Anyone have a review of these drivers?
