Corsair Debuts Super Fast 2933MHz DDR3 Memory
For those who like it fast, Corsair is proud to announce their all-new Vengeance Pro Series DDR3 memory that they were seen talking about at last week’s Computex show in Taipei Taiwan.
So what is all the hoopla about? Intel’s Haswell platform made its debut into the market and the new VPS memory is geared for Intel’s 4th Generation CPUs. According to Corsair the memory will come in speeds of 1600MHz all the way up to 2933MHz, and although targeted at the Haswell crowd the memory will still work on the AMD platform.
For the Intel side of the fence the Vengeance Pro Series will support XMP 1.3 (Extreme Memory Profile) so make sure and make the appropriate change in your BIOS to the XMP settings if running an Intel chipset motherboard. For modders who like everything to match in their systems color scheme the VPS memory comes in black with silver, red or gold accents to fit right into your project. The new VPS memory also comes backed up by Corsair’s Lifetime Warranty, which makes you feel all safe and secure like inside ☺.
There is also one last twist to the VPS memory folks, and that is that Corsair will now be giving users the option to take advantage of the Vengeance’s Pro Airflow fan that is sold as an optional package for their new super fast RAM. The airflow fan is equipped with a 60mm ball-bearing fan and is rated for a life of 80,000 hours at 25 degrees Celsius. Memory really does not get that hot, but having it run cooler can never hurt and will allow better overclocking results in the long run to be more successful. If you are into the Corsair brand there is s new player in town and its name is the Vengeance Pro Series.
