The R9 280X has Landed
Okay so where does one take you on a review trip, when most everybody knows that what you are reviewing is a rebranded product? I will try my best to bring something fresh to the table.
AMD has recently unveiled and unleashed their new R9 and R7 video cards to a very expectant market as AMD has lagged a bit this year when it come to releasing new products. We already did a review where we talk about the feature set of the new R9 280X and if you missed that you can read about it here.
In an effort not to just repeat myself like a automated machine I will try and keep this review as straightforward as possible and stick with the facts about what sets the Gigabyte Windforce OC Version apart from its peers.
Some of those things are quite obvious from just a quick glance as the card offers aftermarket cooling and an overclocked card right out of the box, and in fact the Gigabyte model is actually one of the highest clocked cards you can buy already pushed for performance. For those familiar with Gigabyte’s Windforce cooling solution you will see more of the same with the R9 280X. Lets dig a bit deeper and see what AMD and Gigabyte have come up with.
