Leaked: NVIDIA GeForce Titan (GTX 680 Ultra) Coming Soon?

Fans of NVIDIA may feel that the company has stagnated since it’s been awhile since the GTX 680 and unlike the old days we do not see a new chipset every couple of months as this industry slows down a bit in its twilight years. For many of us having the top end card is an imperative to our gaming, as we want to be able to take advantage of all the features that become available when you have a powerhouse of a card in your system.  The Kepler GK104 has played its part, but now NVIDIA is ready to launch a new GK110 according to the rumor mill of the industry. This would make the perfect boost to their single GPU lineup and bring just enough magic to keep NVIDIA from looking stale.

This rumor comes from across the sea as Swedish website SWEclockers.com made a post releasing the primary specs of this new card. So far we have seen the card is supposed to have 2688 CUDA cores, feature 6GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 5.2GHz on a 384-bit memory controller. There have also been claims stating that the card will have a fairly low GPU clock frequency of just 732MHz, but that it is also supposed to have the horsepower of 85% of their previous GeForce GTX 690, which is a Dual GPU solution so the specs look good on paper so far. As far as naming goes we will either see 680 Ultra or 680 Titan or Titanium depending on how things go down the road.  The only drawback is the enormous price tag that comes attached to this card as it is speculated to sell at around $899. 00. I feel this is a way too high of price tag for such a card, but die-hard NVIDIA fans will spend that cash faster than NVIDIA can make the cards. Check out the video to see more!
