NVIDIA fans can now rejoice, as leaked pictures of their highly anticipated GeForce GTX 770 and GTX 780 video cards have hit the net. Rumor has it that these will be released later this month, according to last week’s latest industry leaks.

NVIDIA wants to get attention focused back on them and it seems that new cards are right around the corner. The cards that are shown, which leaked in a Chinese Forum earlier this week, look identical to other NVIDIA cards ala the GTX Titan, other than the scribbled nomenclature of 770/780 on either card and could be just mock ups for hype, but they may also be NVIDIA’s next weapons.

These cards are obviously what possible OEM, or reference-based models may look like, but other manufactures will most likely provide their own custom cooling solution. The GeForce GTX 780 will be built upon the GK110 core with 2496 CUDA cores, 208 TMUs, 40 ROPs, 5GB GDDR5 memory and 384/320-bit memory interface.

Price leaks have the card being launched at about $700.00 by some sites and by others in the same range as the previously generation GeForce GTX 680, which is more in the $600.00 range. That is actually quite a large difference in prices and if NVIDIA maintains the price of the GTX 680 they will kill AMD, if not then AMD will still have a chance to keep fighting.

The other candidate in this adventure in electricity is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770, which will come equipped with a GK104-425 Die with 1536 CUDA cores, 128 TMUs, 32 ROPs, 2GB GDDR5 memory and 256-bit memory interface. The price on this little gem is stated to be around $400.00, and will be much more affordable and therefore the one that sells the most units. With the launch of the GeForce GTX 690 and the GeForce Titan NVIDIA changed the way it cooled its reference based cards and this type of cooling solution seems to be the direction NVIDIA is going for now. This will be a very interesting launch to say the least and it will be a fun ride seeing it all unfold. ASUS, Gigabyte and a few others will have their own in-house signature cooling solutions and their cards will look nothing like the ones shown here, but at least we know the cards are coming soon. NVIDIA fans what are your thoughts about the new cards, are you really looking forward to them, or are you happy where you are at now?
