New Batman Arkham Gaming Coming This Year (2013)

Gamers who love Batman and who have loved the game series are in for a very nice surprise this year as it has been revealed by Time Warner’s CFO and Chief administrative officer John K Martin that the company has many more game titles to be released this year including an all new Batman Arkam title. Although no exact details were specified it does give hope to all the fans of the series that something new is at least coming soon.

It’s no real surprise that a new game in the Bat franchise is coming as last month the company registered 15 new Arkam related domain names giving rumor and speculation that something was in the works for the caped crusader.  Names like arkamuniverse.com, dcarkamverse.com, batmanarkambegins.com and batmanarkamstories.com that all point to a Batman prequel coming very shortly and that is good news for the fans.

VG247 has said that their own sources confirm that Rocksteady Studios the company behind the Batman Arkam City and Arkam Asylum series so far will not be a part of this new development and that the writer Paul Dini will also not be a part of this either leaving us to wonder just where the new fame will take us both in gameplay and story line. If we look at what has been said thus far though is that the new game title will likely see light in late 2013 or early 2014 depending on how the development schedule goes. I hope that all the changes do not bring about a game that is totally different than the first 2 or that it loses the momentum it once had in the gaming industry. How about you?
