The cards that we were sent were all 2GB versions that NVIDIA clearly states is geared for 1080p gaming and for higher resolutions there is a 4GB model that will be available as well. We still tested and played games at higher resolutions such as 2560X1440 and we were not disappointed in its performance. Currently there is not a game title out there that cannot be played by the GeForce GTX 770 regardless of whether you have a reference or non-reference designed card as its built to shred with all the bells and whistles on at resolutions of 1080p and if you turn the setting down to high 2560X1440 gameplay is also feasible.
Some games are made to play better using NVIDIA’s advanced PhysX and in those games you can see a difference between and AMD based card and an NVIDIA based one. You can always use your CPU to do PhysX, but Advanced PhysX can only by way of an NVIDIA based card. Advanced PhysX adds more real to life object and object movement detail to a scene or scenes during gameplay and when done right adds an additional element to the games visual aspects. Installation of the card was very simple and only required plugging the card into the proper PCIe slot, connecting the 8 and 6-pin power leads, turning the system on and installing the latest drivers from the ASUS FTP site. After a restart I was up and gaming.
