Very informative article Eric. Thank you for taking the time to compare these cards. Please consider including Tomb Raider in your Crossfire/SLI article next week. I’d love to see the benchmark comparison. That information isn’t available anywhere on the internet and since Tomb Raider is having major issues with its ultimate settings performance, it would be great to see which performs better (CF/SLI). titan is a good card but too overpriced. nvidia should just except that the 680 flopped badly. this card should be next gen

You should have listened to your people, Elric. A lot of people noticed the CPU’s bottleneck especially during the Crysis 3 Gameplay video. However the benchmarks still very precise. Good work.

That Dual Xeon really is starting to bottleneck results, by the sound of it. Tonnes of cores mean very little when the clock speed is too low to make use of. The best bet is probably grabbing a 3570/3770K and a cheaper Z77 board and overclocking it to 4.5ish. That’s going to have far more of an effect on the FPS than obscene amounts of Memory or PCI-E SSDs are, us it’s a very cheap prospect, all things considered.

I agree, get your facts right, Andrew. 600 series is Kepler. They needed to introduce Tesla (in quite a hyped way) for testing reasons, just as AMD introduced the 7790 recently.

680 was a flop, a big one. No shame in saying it though, it’s still decent, but not nearly as what we expected, nor is the Titan.

Not to talk about compute performance on this generation of nVidia cards. GCN arch mopped the floor with the 600series
