G.Skill TridentX RAM Overclocked to 4400MHz (World Record)
The folks over at G.Skill are once again celebrating another crowing...
After months of rumors and speculation, Warner Bros Montreal put up a trailer on their website yesterday revealing Arkham Origin’s multiplayer mode. While tacking on various forms of competitive multiplayer has become somewhat of a popular trend these days, Warner Bros is thankfully at least taking into account the style of Batman and doing something just a little bit different.
The game mode will be a 3v3v2 format, with two teams of three forming gangs representing the Joker and Bane, with the final pair being Batman and Robin. The mode has the two teams of 3 directly fighting one another for territory, all while the Batman teams tries to interrupt their activities and put both teams in their place. The trailer shows some traditional aspect of the Arkham series gameplay with third person combat and use of gadgets, and shows extensive use of gang members making use of actual guns and piloting drones.
It will be interesting to see if the mode offers any additional villain options in the future, hopefully opening up other character thus far revealed in Origins like Deathstroke or Copperhead. As always in a situation like this, I’m a mixture of both curious and reserved in regards to a multiplayer mode being added to a single player game, hopefully with their slight spin put on it of three way combat will help make it feel distinct, and something worth playing and not just a tacked on mode everyone tries once for 2 hours; We’ll just have to find out this October when the game get’s released on the 25th.
