A lot of people have been practically begging Apple to release an iPhone with a bigger display. If you fall into that category, then we have got some news for you!
These pictures above may end up being components for Apple next generation iPhone. The leaked images give a good look at the back, inside, and front of the device. From analyzing the photos, it is easy to tell that the phone is bigger, but not exactly how much bigger. The gold color option and Touch ID, introduced with the iPhone 5s that debuted in the fall, will make another appearance based on these photos.
On the design side of things, it looks to boast a slimmer body (almost reminding me of the somewhat-forgotten iPod touch!) This may end up being a good thing, because the iPod touch is considerably thinner and lighter than the current-gen iPhones. It looks to the iPad Air/iPad mini with Retina Display for some design inspiration, specifically the bottom of the device where the Lightning port and speakers are located.
Don’t get too excited, though. Like always, nothing is official until Tim Cook touts it on stage. Prototypes do leak (iPhone 4, anyone?) but there are also a ridiculous amount of fake images of the future iPhones floating around the Internet. Sonny Dickson, one of the two individuals responsible for the leak, has a solid track record, but warns he’s not 100% sure about the legitimacy of the images. monray866, the other responsible, is unknown. Skepticism is a scapegoat to disappointment here, folks.
