Maybe with the ability for Square-Enix to sell directly to PC enthusiast through the Steam store, the console blinders are slowly being removed.

I literally stopped playing the games just because I didn’t have the money to buy a ps3/ps4 on top of maintaining/building a gaming PC. So because of that, the last FF game I played on a TV console was FFX.
