I am following more the BF4 series rather than COD…so yeah…but there is nothing we can do other than just complain to game developers for their work…
Maybe it’s just that because games became more and more demanding, people started buying consoles and console games more so since developers earn more from the console gamers market, they throw more time at optimization than to PC games, so for everyone having a PC, they are like ‘PCs nowadays are enough powerful so they can handle it, let’s just ditch the coding’ so yeah… I never had a console, I never wanted to buy one and I never would for whatever reason…
Oh well, I guess I would be fine with 2 GTX 870s or 880s, more than that becomes a bit of waste of $… Whatever it gives, that would be it, no other choice. There are games that are rated ”Excellent” for their 3D vision :)

You guys just need to chill though, 2104 is right around the century :-)

Which was the original typo, not availed :)

In order to get the performance you want you’d need a Titan Z overclocked as far as you could push it, or 2+ Titan Blacks overclocked as far as you could push them. So yeah you’re gonna be waiting for a while. One thing to take in consideration: The games being released recently are shit. BF4 = Shit. Ghosts = (Same) Shit (+ still easy as fuck to run unless you have a weak rig). Metro Last Light = Shit with graphics that don’t justify it’s insane GPU load. I blame consoles, PC games aren’t getting the optimization they deserve. It’s almost impossible to believe that graphics cards like the 780 Ti put into SLI struggle with 4k gaming. BF4 is disgusting, I hate it. If EA got their heads of their ass and started fixing the issues with it (tons of users get crashing) it could be a great game. If they game is coded so poorly that it only runs on select computer then I can only imagine how many dumb little optimization tweaks they’ve missed. Maybe I’m just delusional, but I feel like recent games have been rushed and are backed by shitty, poorly optimized code that rely on the pure horsepower of today’s graphics cards instead of relying on well written code. If game developers started putting more time into games before pushing them out, I guarantee the min/recommended system configuration would be much more affordable.

I know how 2 GTX 770s perform in SLI (Elric tested them if you wanna search for the video). However from now I can tell you that their performance combined is not really enough, even the 780s isn’t enough in SLI. I was really looking around for 2 GTX 870s since I wanna be below 1K with GPUs, but if again their performance show around 120-160 FPS on 2D, then I will be forced to go for 2 GTX 880s and water cool them with huge Overclocks. I will see when benchmark for those new Maxwell cards come out…
Really, the problem is that PhysX and other textures like it, do take quite much FPS, and the more performance I have BEYOND those 120FPS on 2D, the less FPS drops I will get below 60FPS on intense game scenes, meaning that stutter from V-Sync would be less, since my cards will have the power to handle those FPS drops (that’s I guess the way Sony did it on all consoles – lower and limit graphics so that FPS is fixed with very little drops). Then this is one reason which I considered that for 3D, you need to have a GPU power for 240FPS so that stutter can nearly disappear to an unnoticeable level which isn’t that easy to achieve…
I have enough patience to wait for Black Friday. I still see games which are NOT nicely optimized, I still see “BROKEN” news for BF4, Watch Dogs and GTA 5 for PC have not come out yet and I want them both to go on 3D no matter what. Also, I am tired of HD 1080p, and Asus Swift is yet to release their monitor. X99 chipset, DDR4 and Haswell-E will be “new” and I want to see reviews before I buy anything, not counting that memory and MBs will be buggy in the begining and Asus will take time to get the high quality ones on the market…
Really, yes, the final date that I will start buying my build will be black Friday, until then, I hope that technology will work out itself somehow… I don’t want crap stuff which will break after a week of usage.

Max settings is a must if you’re gonna drop over $1k on a gpu so I kinda guessed that :P. I’d agree with you on the 2x GTX 880′s, assuming they beat a 780 Ti atleast. But with the release of the Titan Black I’m almost certain it isn’t coming out anytime soon. If you’re inpatient 2 780s/780 Tis/Titans/Titan Blacks all could meet your requirements, just depends on how OCD you are about framerates. I don’t know how much extra VRAM 3D uses, I have eye impairments that make it impossible for me to see 3D so I never tested it. If I were you I’d say fuck it and get 2 Titan Blacks. Because if I got anything less I’d always be wondering how much better the Titan Blacks were.
