Gigabyte Releases New Quad-Core J1900 Motherboard. That’s right my friendlies Gigabyte has just announced that they will be bringing their J1800-based product to market. This news hit last Friday and it circulated around the new J1900N-D3V that will be a vast improvement over its earlier predecessor. This new board has an improved quad-core Celeron J1900 CPU that is clocked at 2.0 and offers much better performance than the last model they released.

Gigabyte’s new board utilizes a Bay Trail chip using integrated graphics based on Intel’s HD graphics and comes clocked at 688-Mhz, but can be boosted to 845-MHz for a bit more performance. You can see that this is a very small motherboard and it has expansion by way of a single PCI port, dual SATA and DDR3-SODIMM slots on the board itself. The rear I/O is fleshed out with 2X serial bus ports, 2X PS2 ports, 4X USB 3.0 ports, a pair of gigabit Ethernet ports and stereo audio connections.

Like most of the Gigabyte motherboards the new J1900-N also have their DualBIOS technology so if you lose one BIOS you can switch to the other BIOS and Flash-fix the other and vice-versa depending on your need. At this point in time actual pricing and real world availability is still pending, but you can bet this will see the light of day very soon. I am sure pricing will be very reasonable and at the lower end of the price spectrum as Celeron CPUs are the low end of Intel’s totem pole of products. Thanks for reading Tech Of Tomorrow. So what do you think-Winner, or loser? Lets hear it.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what does this mean? Does the motherboard come with its own pre-installed CPU?

    • RoboBonobo

      Yes

Sooo.. We’re pretty much talking a glorified mediacenter board, I’m guessing ?
Pre-installed Celeron CPU isnt really mid or even high-range..
…especially when its (judging from the picture) a passive cooled CPU.

WTH, i see only 1 PCIE slot, and no RAM slots O.o

      Check again.
To the right side of the board are the RAM slots.
It’s SODIMM so it’s laptop form RAM.
And if you read the text you’ll know the board only carries 1 pcie slot.

slap a gtx ti on that motherboard :D or does the titan take 2 slots?
