Bookeen Cybook Odyssey – The world’s lightest e-reader solution!

Bookeen has announced the launch of the new Cybook Odyssey HD FrontLight. It’s the 6th generation with the most advanced FrontLight solutiom and the most advanced E Ink HD display yet. This new Cybook Odyssey HD FrontLight will be launched first in Europe starting in November 2012. It has an embedded HD display with lower power consumption and an enhanced user interface. The E-Reader screen on this baby is really ahead any other solution on the market. Featuring a 213 DPI display, it displays 62% more pixels than any current e-reader. All the images and fonts you see while you read will look more crisp and solid. The display also comes with anti-glare so that you can read under any light.

Another new feature that they have included in this Cybook Odyssey is the enhanced user interface. Bookeen has introduced a PDF reflow option which allows PDF users to make reading as easy as possible and a High Speed Ink System, which allows it to operate at amazingly fast speeds. This new e-reader is also lighter than its predecessor weighing in at 180g vs 195g. It’s very light and it wont weigh you down while you read during flights, during your break, or at the comfort of your home. And with built in WiFi capabilities you can download and read more of what you want.
