LG Electronics has announced that they will be showcasing two new TVs running Google’s latest platform at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the GA7900 and GA6400. Both TVs will run LG’s redesigned “Magic Remote QWERTY” which allows you to point-and-click or use Voice Search, and they will also have a dual-core CPU which allows the TruPicture XD Engine to process images quickly and precisely. This should allow for better streaming quality and more crisp images while watching TV.

With Google’s latest platform on these TVs you will also be able to stream music, surf the web, and download apps such as Netflix, Youtube, Facebook, and much more. And with your user friendly QWERTY Magic Remote you will also be able to search for the latest Android apps and latest content with Google TV PrimeTime. Google TV PrimeTime makes it easy to browse live and on-demand TV shows and movies, web video and even DVR content, if it is compatible with your TV setup. Also offerings from Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, HBO GO, YouTube and other sources are conveniently included overlay, which allows you to search while still watching your current program. However, the real question is will this partnership with LG and Google decline to a similar debacle that happened between Logitech and Google. Hopefully LG will have better luck with Google. Check out more here!
