Most people who listen to music or game on their PC tend to be satisfied with 2.0 sound systems, which include 2 speakers and a subwoofer as let’s face it 5.1 on your desk is a pain in the ass to really even hear properly and is a wiring mess. I know there are some hard-core sound junkies who may want 5.1 speakers on their desk, but overwhelmingly the 2.0 environment wins by a landslide and choosing the right speakers can be a daunting affair if you don’t know jack about audio components. Logitech makes PC and Mac peripherals of every nature and they have a robust line of speakers with many models to choose from.

The Logitech THX Certified Z623 2.0 Speaker systems are geared for the gamer and the movie watcher, hence the whole THX thing and offer load clear sound reproduction even when hurtling decibels to your ears at the speaker’s maximum volume level. Now are these true audiophile speakers? Well no, but they are neither priced that way either coming to market as low as $115.00. What they are though are very clear and cutting and perfect for gaming, rocking out or watching a movie on your PC.  I thought that for the money I had no buyers regret. Check out Elric as he unboxes and takes a first look at the Logitech Z623 speakers.
