Logitech has announced the release of a new mouse in it’s G line of products, the G502 Proteus Core, a mouse focused on customization and fitting any gamer’s preference.

Along with the ability adjust the mouse’s weight using up to 5 3.5g weights, the Proteus Core will also offer 11 customizable buttons for users to set up whatever macros they find useful, as well as the ability to set it’s dpi between 200 and 12,000. An interesting new feature of the mouse is its ability to read and calibrate itself based upon the kind of surface players use it on, allowing for optimal performance regardless of environment.

“With the world’s best sensor technology, complete surface, weight and balance tuning and mechanical switches, we have made a mouse that dominates,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, general manager of the Logitech gaming business. “The Logitech G team believes that when hype fades, science wins!” The Proteus Core will be available later this month in the U.S. and Europe for an MSRP of $80.

Sounds like theyre trying something new after Razer ate theyre marketshare because of their unwillingness to innovate (using the exact same shape across all their lines for the last 14 years)

Their shape works, our hand shape is not evolving. As long as specs are improving, razer logo speaks quality, i’m buying it.

They use one shape and one shape only, this is what i take issue with, where as Razer offers multiple shapes and even lefty versions there in, and now even adjustable mice.

This a good quality mouse, I tried on the razer taipen, the quality on the taipen= cheap plastic. The quality and material on G502= Very comfort
