New Leaked Shots & Video of LG Nexus 5 Surface
In what looks to be another no joke “bar leak”, we have a fresh look of what appears to be the front and back of Google’s upcoming LG Nexus 5 with a short video to boot.
The Nexus 4 was an LG-made device, based off of the Optimus G, which was the company’s flagship for 2012. Speculations have been pointing (and it would only make sense), that this Nexus 5 will be based off LG’s crown jewel phone for 2013, the G2. The G2 features a volume rocker on the back of the handset.
However, as we can see from these leaked images, the volume and power buttons are clearly on the side of this mystery Nexus smartphone.
This is actually the second time we have got an early glimpse of this device. Last week,Google announced that it’s next version of Android will be called Kit-Kat. In Google’s Android Kit-Kat promo video on YouTube, a Google employee can be seen taking a picture of the Kit-Kat statue with a possible next generation Nexus device. The video was swiftly removed from YouTube there after. The only difference between yesterday’s leaks and these ones are that yesterday’s don’t show the word NEXUS on the back of the phone.
With the Nexus 4 price drop and the release of the release of the Moto X, a next generation Nexus phone definitely makes sense, and this might just be it. Many are hoping the new Nexus device will be available on the Play Store, unlocked and contract-free, for a very affordable price. The Nexus 4 matched these qualifications and helped it compete with flagships from Samsung, Apple, and HTC. If the Nexus 5 follows these footsteps, it will definitely compete for sales this holiday season against a plethora of high end devices, including the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, iPhone 5s, and it’s own cousins, the Moto X and LG G2.
