After a new update was Android 4.3 updated was released for the Galaxy S3, it was quickly pulled as many bugs were reported and then afterwards Samsung was oddly silent with no word on the subject being addressed. From randomly freezing handsets, Bluetooth audio issues, battery drain, WiFi issues and lost calls the update was more fail than anything else.

  • Random Freezing
  • Huge battery drain
  • Bluetooth Audio issues during playback in car
  • Stuttering music playback with stock Samsung music app
  • Device freezes as soon a call is received (Black screen issue)
  • Poor RAM management (very difficult to multitask)
  • Wi-Fi issues

The folks at Sammobile were able to get an official statement from Samsung as to just what exactly happened with this update, but regardless of reason the update was not at all in the best interests of their giant world-wide user base who experienced nothing but problems with release 4.3. See below what Samsung had to say on the matter.

“As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.”

So basically a blow off to their consumers with no answer in sight as to the why this happened as well as no new official date as to when and if the new update will even be released. Being a Samsung owner I hope that they make the fix pretty quick and get Android 4.3 back on track and working. For now all us Samsung users can do is sit and wait. This is a very strange move for Samsung a company that is usually a bit more forthcoming about their products and updates. Thanks for reading have a great Monday everybody.

Seems to me like a corporate espionage or worse. Someone from their rival company is working among them and had done fucked up everything. I know it sound like a myth but it’s true. These kind of things do happen, and it happens too often.

I think is sabotage, even it’s said that the PS4 was also sabotaged. As you can see core systems of the OS are involved.

  • Gerardo Lazcon-Vega

    That’s why I have Cyanogenmod.

    • Ayden McPhail

Cyanogenmod still has wifi issues, I’d have to reboot every time I wanted to join a wifi network

      • Gerardo Lazcon-Vega

Really? I don’t have any issues with it. Did you clean install?

        • Ayden McPhail

Yes sir, anything beyond 4.2.2 doesn’t work

Running cm 10.2 nightly and everything is fast and smooth on my galaxy tab 2. Actually i had wifi problems with samsung’s stock touch wiz rom. Cm 10.2 fixed it.

No. Cyanogenmod is plagued with issues. I tried it twice with my my s2 (that I later gave to my mom, and yet it still had issues on a different OS ver too) and it was a nightmare. Stock will always be king.

    • Nameless

Me to! Runs faster then the old rom :)
