Is This Apple’s Upcoming Budget iPhone?

Apple, the Cupertino company known for great designs and producing products with high quality material is now being suspected of down grading, but is that always a bad thing?

Many iPhone owner hopefuls have been waiting and waiting to be able to afford an iPhone and now Apple might be making it easier for them with the long rumored plastic iPhone.

Photos have leaked from a Chinese forum of a supposed iPhone shell made of plastic and resembles the wonderful 5th generation iPod touch design. This plastic iPhone is also supposed to carry on the bright back color legacy the 5th gen iPod also started.

Included in the leaked images were expected measurements and physical features from the case manufacturer. The rear shell colors are said to include yellow, red, green, and white but as this is a rumor it has not been confirmed.

Also, Macrumors has gone ahead and nicely made some mock ups of the expected plastic iPhone for reference that matches the information that was given. These dummies are displayed as measuring at 8.5mm thick and slightly taller than the iPhone 5. Even though the phone almost identically resembles the iPhone 5 there are changes such as the volume buttons to a pill-shape form instead of the traditional circles and also the design on the bottom speakers.

Apple is known for annual updates to its phone line later at the end of this year so more than likely that is when it is to be expected. With the expectation of the iPhone 5s or 6 and now this plastic iPhone, the tech world is soon to be stirred. What do you guys think?! Isn’t this so awesome of Apple to be making a cheaper option?
