Splinter Cell 4K Gaming

Yesterday we posted full resolution Bioshock Infinite 4K 3840 x 2160 gameplay screenshots which allowed you to get a look at all those beautiful pixels and today were back with more 4K goodness, this time with a video of Splinter Cell Blacklist 4K gameplay.

We realize even if we were able to film in 4k, that most of you can only watch in 720p or 1080p so please realize this is just to show off future technology and really to demonstrate that even a single GTX 780 can pull off 4K resolutions at medium to high settings. If you didn’t catch it, we’re using the new ASUS PQ321Q 31.5 inch IGZO 4K display.

Ideally you’d want a pair of high-end cards in SLI or Crossfire setup to optimally run ultra high resolutions but we figured we’d start from the bottom and then move up to more extreme setups as we are able to get a little more time with the monitor. It’s also rumored that NVIDIA is working on both a Titan Ultra and GTX 790 which would compliment a 4K monitor very well, wouldn’t ya say? So keep your eyes peeled for updates on that and for now, enjoy the video below!

Awesome display, i still cant decide between pc monitor (27 inches 2,5 k resolution) with added tv tuner for overall entertainment system, or plasma/LED based tv with 40+ inches full HD mostly for gaming (pc,ps3,xbox)

Not to sound like a dick but if they were to put the settings on ultra the game would run clunky as hell with just the one gpu. Kinda makes you feel bad for consoles. At this rate you would have to wait till ps6 or 7 to play at 4k res on ultra ha ha

      • Jeferson

ok, just asked a question because … and other decreases your liguaja there because I’m here is to learn not to be ofendindo ok … if I have respect for everyone there … I want tb vlw ae site this very show and I’m holding increasingly thanks ..

        • John Mellinger

oh it’s cool I did not mean any to make you sound stupid with your question. But one day A single Gpu will be able to play games at such a high res at Ultra with a no stutter/lag. I am thinking when the 900 series from Nvidia comes out in 2015. But that is just my guess

  • josh

    medium settings………..

    • lol medium

ya because they have 4k resolution so they can’t just go with ultra so they should lag when they played the game ok when they had 2 gtx 780 video cards but they don’t they just had one

Lol I remember a time when pixels can be counted on a tv now it seems to be too many to count

  • John Mellinger

This is amazing! Just shows how advanced pc gaming is. A single 780 running this game at such a crazy res at medium to high. I can’t wait to see what the 800 to 900 series from Nvidia has to offer. I feel bad for console fanboys that won’t make a switch to pc. Or at least give pc gaming a chance. As for the monitor. Hollyshhhhnikeeez I want one XD!
