System Parts
The AZZA 9000 case we used offered a cool look for what we wanted, but still needed lots of work inside and out to become the TRON we envisioned. From right at first glance you can see the entire front panel has been custom cut out of Plexiglas and offers a totally unique CD system with a hidden player and touch eject operation that is unlike anything I have seen yet.
To eject the CD all you do is lightly touch the Plexiglas to the right of the slot and the CD ejects no problem at all. Its cool that the CD is hidden as it makes the front panel just looks so much cleaner and meaner than your standard build. We had to take off the door to the CD player to make the eject button stand out enough to have it make contact with the Plexiglas panel.
We originally painted the system a metal flake white that looks really awesome in the light when it reflects the metal in the paint and even after the accident the paint job could still be reasonably saved to its original state and the minute damage is only noticeable up very close. There are actually a few tones to the color scheme, but the blend together very well as you can see in the pictures.
All the side lighting had to be custom done as the standard case has the plastic offset colors, but no blue lights like our TRON masterpiece. That process involved a lot of wiring and running the wire in a way that it would not be seen, and in the final build as process that was very successful. Hiding all the wiring so that it still is functional as well as working was one of the most arduous things in the build taking lots of time and careful manipulation. We used Monsoon lighting for this part of the build as you can see in the pics.
