HTC isn’t set to release it’s 2014 flagship until later this month and now, less than a week after Samsung unveiled it’s new Galaxy S5, HTC’s next generation One smartphone has leaked in a 12 minute video that we’re not sure you can make through in it’s entirety.

The element of surprise is seemingly gone in the smartphone world, with leaks being a regular thing lately but something about this leak in particular really takes the fun out of a new product. It looks like a young kid was able to get a hold of the new One from his parents (who may be testers and/or work for HTC) and take us through a painfully awful walkthrough on HTC’s new device.

The video obviously didn’t bode well with HTC as it’s been pulled a few times but from what we’ve gathered from the video is that the new HTC One will sport a bigger 5.2 inch display, dual-cameras and woo-hoo, a micro-SD card for external expandability.

There was no mention of the processor or battery life (you’d think during a twelve minute video, there’d be time for that) but regardless of that and the sub-par video, the new One is shaping up to be a sweet phone. Are you guys excited with what we’ve seen before? and also let us know what you think on the situation – should the kid’s parents be held responsible if the leak is the case? Let us know by voting in our poll below!

HTC One Leak
Should the Parent's of the Leaker be held Responsible and possible lose employment?

    Dumb kids

  • TheMetalSgt

    Kill it with fire.

  • MangoJuiceStain

The kid looks like he has a mental disorder so I don’t know how they should handle this. Listen to the way this kid talks, he has a speech impediment or something. If he’s actually diagnosed with something, the parents shouldn’t be held responsible. If he’s just an idiot, well there’s nothing else to really do other than punish the parents…

  • Ober1krnobi

If the phone was given to him by his Parents, and his Parent’s are developers and or work for HTC, they deserve to be fired, Do they expect everyone to abide by NDA shit ? Kid is a douche bag tho, but if the Parents gave it to him, they should get into trouble and be fired..

    • SoLiDuSZeRoW

I guess u never worked to actually know what it means to get fired right dude ? Your absolution is just idiotic and i am sorry for being rude. But if you actually worked in the past and have this attitude … i mean really … Do not RAGE over something in your life ! Never be asbolute it’s just not how things work and should not work, hope you understand …

when you work, you get paid and use it as a living, but his parents should know what their retarded son could do with something they’re not even suppose to have, they should know how to appreciate their job and knowing the outcomes if you’re going to abuse it like this

    Walter White Jr.

  • Quite-Damn-Anonymous

What should we do!?! It’s trying to communicate!

  • Christopher Burgos

Losing their jobs is an extreme punishment. I’d just chalk it down to a don’t let it happen again type of thing.

    • qw623

Non disclosure agreements are serious things, violating one is a serious violation.

      • Christopher Burgos

A child broke a non disclosure agreement, not them directly.

Him and his little buddies probably burglarized a truck or store to get it. I just got an LG G2 but the new HTC ONE looks amazing. Love that aluminium body.
Since he did it I wish he’d of took the thing apart so we could see the chipset. The parents do deserve to be fired though && he deserves a beating from dad. Both most likely fulfilled.

  • Peer Review

Didn’t proof read, forgot to erase the first sentence after I saw the voting deal.

  • Kenneth Crisp

If HTC wanted it to be such a big secret then they shouldn’t have let anybody take it off the premises to start with. So now whose fault is it?

  • Jerry Neutron

Sick bruh, show us more phones!

  • ahhaha

Tell the parents to beat the crap out of that shitbag! :D

  • BlameTheMouse

You can easily read the phone serial number.
So it’s really easy to find the employ who had that device .

  • Pedro Cornejo

First of all the parents should be fired and should be sued. The kid should be whipped until he’s 18 and sell all of his tech stuff which is not a need but a want so his parents can use to punish and live until they can get a job. This kid did the worst possible review ever someone can ever do and made it look like the phone sucked and everything, his parents should have known that actions of giving a phone to a retarded son and They knew what could happen and they deseved to be fired, this is no honest mistake, he is uploading the video knowing that he is one of the lucky people to get the phone and knowing that this info about the phone shouldn’t have been informed to the world without an apporpiate announcement, HTC should also know how to hire people that can actually keep everyhting in secret between them

Fired ? Death penalty at least…

  • garry

I’m sure HTC got a lot of publicity on this one. I’d say they benefited more from this than any harm caused
